UMGC is seeking adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Naples, Italy for the Program and Career Exploration and Introduction to Research courses. Successful candidates will guide adult learners in research concepts and practical applications.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a related field, have professional research experience, and be able to maintain legal status in Italy. Training includes online new faculty orientation; compensation is commensurate with experience per credit hour.

Adjunct Faculty Program and Career Exploration and Introduction to Research

Location: Naples, Italy. University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Italy for the Program and Career Exploration and Introduction to Research courses.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s degree in a research related field from an accredited institution of higher learning. Professional experience involving research or related field. Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred. Local applicants only. Adjunct faculty positions are not eligible for UMGC sponsored logistical support. Applicants must have and be able to maintain their own legal status in the country in which they apply to teach.

Resume/Curriculum Vitae. Cover letter highly preferred. Unofficial transcripts for all conferred degrees with conferral date. If selected, candidates with international degrees may be required to submit a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES approved vendor.

Hiring Range by Degree:

Non-PhD: Step 1 $903 - Step 16 $1,173 per credit hour. PhD: Step 1 $931 - Step 16 $1,215 per credit hour.
