Job summary

IMA TMC is a packaging division of the IMA Group, a global leader in automated machinery for tissue packaging and industrial automation. We seek a Progettista Software - PLC & Motion Control to design, program, and validate PLC-based control systems for packaging lines.

You will collaborate with hardware engineers, develop Structured Text code, manage safety logic, and support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of PLC programming experience.
• Knowledge of Structured Text programming and motion control systems.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Hardware Designer to define functional specifications according to project requirements.
• Program PLC software for automated machines using Structured Text, PLC logic, and motion control systems.
• Experience in programming PLC-based safety logic.
• Install and commission machine software.
• Support HMI programming when required.
• Prepare technical documentation related to design activities.
• Support pre-sales and after-sales activities.
• Participate, when required, in FAT and/or SAT testing phases.

IMA TMC is a packaging company and a leader in the design of industrial packaging lines for tissue products (paper towels, facial tissues, and napkins).

The Role

• Collaborate with the Hardware Designer to define functional specifications according to project requirements;
• Program PLC software for automated machines using Structured Text, PLC logic, and motion control systems;
• Experience in programming PLC-based safety logic;
• Install and commission machine software;
• Support HMI programming when required;
• Prepare technical documentation related to design activities;
• Support pre-sales and after-sales activities;
• Participate, when required, in FAT and/or SAT testing phases.

Experience & Skills

3–5 years of previous experience in PLC programming;
Knowledge of Structured Text programming and motion control systems;
Availability to trave

What Will Set You Apart

• Degree in Automation Engineering or Computer Science;
• Experience with Schneider or Rockwell platforms;
• Knowledge of English;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

The starting gross annual salary will be €30,000, under the Italian Metalworking Industry Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria), with the possibility of increases based on the candidate’s experience and skills, in accordance with objective and gender-neutral criteria.
