IMA Group is seeking a Progettista Software - PLC & Motion Control in Bologna to join its automation team. You will collaborate with hardware designers, program PLCs using Structured Text, and support commissioning, HMI, and documentation for automated machines across various sectors.

The role requires 3–5 years PLC programming experience, ST knowledge, and willingness to travel up to 10–20 days per year. A Master’s degree in Automation Engineering is preferred. English knowledge is a plus.

The Role

• Collaborate with hardware designers to define functional specifications in accordance with project requirements;
• PLC programming for automated machines using structured text, PLC logic, and motion control systems;
• Experience in programming PLC-side safety logic;
• Install and commission software on the machine;
• Provide support for HMI programming when required;
• Prepare technical documentation to accompany design activities;
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities;
• Participate, if necessary, in FAT and/or SAT testing phases.

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience of 3 to 5 years in PLC programming;
• Knowledge of Structured Text programming language and motion control skills;
• Availability to travel.

What Will Set You Apart
