Sompo International seeks an Underwriter Professional Indemnity for the Italy Financial Lines team, based in Milan. This role focuses on growing client and broker relationships while ensuring compliance with underwriting strategy and local market developments.

You will analyze submissions, terms, and conditions, and contribute to profitable growth in line with regional expectations, acting as a company ambassador in the market.

Competenze

• 5+ years of PI underwriting experience in Italy.
• Deep technical knowledge of Professional Indemnity exposures.
• Strong expertise in international Large Corporate risks underwriting.
• Excellent client and broker relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Mansioni

• Contribute to growth and profitability by actively sourcing submissions.
• Analyze questionnaires, submissions, policy wordings, and technical reports to assess exposures.
• Analyze underwriting information and ensure terms are aligned with underwriting strategy.
• Meet and negotiate with clients and brokers to develop new and renewal business.
• Develop, launch and maintain Italian PI product versions and watch market developments.
• Ensure underwriting document filings and data accuracy for accounts.
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders to support business needs.
• Contribute to European strategy and appetite for the Italian market.
