Sompo Holdings, Inc. seeks a Senior Underwriter Professional Indemnity in Italy to drive growth in the Italian PI portfolio. The role collaborates with the Italy Financial Lines Manager and Continental Europe leadership, focusing on profitable growth, retention, and strong external relations with clients and brokers.

The position is based in Milan, with opportunities to shape local language PI product variants and contribute to regional strategy, while traveling internationally as needed.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in Professional Indemnity underwriting in Italy.
• Deep technical PI knowledge and international Large Corporate underwriting experience.
• Strong network with Italian brokers and risk managers.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to identify opportunities.

Mansioni

• Source submissions to grow the PI portfolio and profitability.
• Analyze questionnaires, policy wordings, and technical reports for exposures.
• negotiate terms with clients and brokers to win new and renewal business.
• Maintain a diversified book in terms of risk profile and segmentation.
• Lead contract negotiations and participate in client meetings and underwriting reviews.
• Develop local Italian PI product variants and monitor market trends.
