Exide Technologies in Lombardy seeks a Production Supervisor to lead shifts and ensure safety, quality and efficiency in high-volume manufacturing. Competenze

• Degree in Engineering or technical field.
• Manufacturing experience in automotive or high-volume environments preferred.

Mansioni

• Supervise and coordinate production operators across shifts with safety and quality in mind.
• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production activities to meet customer requirements.

Exide is seeking a Production Supervisor to join its manufacturing team and support daily operations within the production department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient production process, meeting quality, safety, cost, and delivery targets. This role is a key link between the Production Manager and the shopfloor workforce, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement initiatives, and employee engagement while guaranteeing compliance with company standards and procedures.

Main Tasks

• Supervise and coordinate production operators during shifts, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Plan and organize daily, weekly, and monthly production activities to ensure customer requirements and production targets are achieved.
• Monitor production KPIs and analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure the availability and accuracy of raw materials in production and coordinate raw material orders when required.
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient production processes and prompt resolution of operational issues.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing activities, and 5S implementation within the production area.
• Participate in production-related projects, equipment improvements, and investment activities aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies and promote a strong safety culture within the production team.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive and corrective actions to improve operational performance.
• Monitor scrap levels, lead variance, production efficiency, and other operational metrics through regular reporting activities.
• Participate in physical inventories and support stock accuracy initiatives.
• Contribute to maintaining the highest level of product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or any technical field
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within automotive or high-volume production industries.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, industrial equipment, and manufacturing operations.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP and manufacturing systems is considered an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis methodologies.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic production environment.
• Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact across different organizational levels.
