Descrizione del lavoro

COOLTECH srl, a company specializing in the production of components and systems for liquid cooling of electrical and electronic devices, is looking for a PRODUCTION MANAGER.

Mission

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production activities within the Cooling Unit department. It is worth noting that a portion of these activities takes place inside a contamination-controlled environment (Cleanroom).

Main Responsibilities

Personnel Management: Coordinate and lead the team of line operators (assembly, brazing, and testing staff), ensuring compliance with delivery times, efficiency targets, and quality standards. Define work shifts, manage the skill matrix to ensure department flexibility, and actively promote a culture of workplace safety. Support team development by fostering growth plans for both hard and soft skills.

Operator Training:

Define, plan, and deliver (directly or indirectly through consultants with HR support) training pathways for line operators. Personally support new hires during onboarding, as well as current colleagues during updates on new procedures, technologies, or workstations. A practical, hands‑on approach is essential to effectively train the team: the candidate must be fully competent in machine assembly, able to demonstrate tasks directly. This ensures technical credibility, direct know‑how transfer, and consistency in process execution, thereby shortening the learning curve.

Production Monitoring and Efficiency:

Supervise order progress based on the schedule defined by the planning department, promptly identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or line delays. Constantly monitor line and plant efficiency through the company MES, analysing the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) indicator and maximizing the up‑time of test benches and critical stations.

Line Problem Solving:

Intervene directly and promptly to resolve technical, logistical, or organisational issues arising daily during the production flow, preventing line downtime and ensuring operational continuity.

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor key department KPIs, analyse the root causes of non‑conformities and waste, implement immediate corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement projects based on Lean and 5S principles. Collaborate and coordinate constantly with the Quality department to analyse and resolve process or component non‑conformities, and with the Industrialization department to implement new methodologies, optimise workflows, and industrialise workstations.

Asset Management:

Ensure the proper use and maintenance of all plants and machinery within the production department.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Management, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in the role, with proven experience in production and efficiency monitoring, and personnel management.
  • Good knowledge of the English language.
Soft Skills Required for the Role
  • Authoritative Leadership: Guide supervisors and operators, motivating the team toward production targets.
  • People Management: Communicate with staff to improve working conditions and define individual growth plans, including providing specific feedback.
  • Conflict Management: Resolve disputes promptly to maintain a positive working environment.
  • Team Building: Build cohesion and collaboration among the various factory departments.
  • Problem Solving: React calmly to sudden breakdowns, supplier delays, or workload spikes.
  • Fast Decision-Making: Make critical decisions quickly to avoid machine downtime and financial losses.
  • Time and Priority Management: Plan shifts and deadlines by optimizing available resources.
Contract and Compensation
  • Contract type to be defined based on the experience acquired, National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for the Engineering and Metalworking Industry (13 monthly salaries).
  • Reference Gross Annual Salary (RAL) between €35,000 and €45,000; meal voucher of €5 per day.
  • Work Location: Formigine (MO), Italy.
  • Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
