Callimacus is building a new generation of AI-enabled web experiences from its Milan-based offices. You will lead core backend design, align with the senior team, and influence architecture, performance, and developer experience across AWS infrastructure, databases, and deployment pipelines.

The role is ideal for engineers with 4–6+ years of backend-focused delivery, who thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and want to shape a production-grade platform with high ownership.

Competenze

• Strong TypeScript and Node.js background with production systems experience.
• Experience designing scalable backend services and APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS architecture, containers, and IaC.

Mansioni

• Define the architectural direction for core backend services and APIs.
• Own end-to-end performance across services and infrastructure.
• Architect the cloud footprint in AWS with cost-conscious design.
• Design data layer across relational and analytical stores (Aurora, ClickHouse).
• Raise reliability through monitoring, incident analysis and post-mortems.
