ABB Smart Buildings cerca un Procurement Engineering Manager per guidare l'interfaccia tra Procurement, Ingegneria e R&D in Italia. In questo ruolo, guiderai la conoscenza di procurement nel processo di sviluppo per ottimizzare costi, qualità e tecnologia, traducendo richieste ingegneristiche in parametri di acquisto.

Avrai responsabilità nell'approvvigionamento di parti prototipo, gestione di gate model, stima costi iniziali e qualità, collaborando con team locali e categorie di acquisti,

Competenze

• Almeno 5 anni di esperienza nel procurement in programmi NPD (New Product Development).
• Esperienza come Procurement Engineer o Project Buyer con componenti meccanici/elettrici/elettronici.
• Competenza in SAP Ariba o ERP equivalenti e familiarità con PLM e strumenti di gestione progetti.

• Interfaccia tra Procurement, Ingegneria e R&D.
• Trasformare richieste ingegneristiche in parametri di procurement per l’esecuzione.
• Accompagnare la definizione della documentazione di progetto e gestione di gate model.
• Ottimizzare costi e qualità a tutte le fasi dei progetti di sviluppo.

Procurement Engineering Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to be responsible for being an interface between Procurement, Engineering and R&D team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize engineering cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating engineering requests into procurement parameters for execution.

This role is contributing to the ELSB, Energy Distribution, Procurement P&EM in Italy. Main stakeholders are R&D and Engineering project teams, local Procurement teams, and division Procurement Category Managers.

Work Model For The Role Is

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Managing the ordering and on-time delivery of the prototype parts directly with the suppliers for each project, in alignment with the critical project development and testing plan.
• Being responsible for procurement Gate Model activities, arranging project procurement gate meetings as required, and creating and maintaining the project related to procurement documents.
• Estimating initial cost and quality and achieving product cost and quality targets.
• Working to optimize cost and quality at all stages of the development projects.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled in procurement methodologies such as should-cost modeling, value chain analysis, and supplier development and are deeply engaged in the electrical equipment and energy distribution market.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in procurement within New Product Development (NPD) programs, working as a Procurement Engineer or Project Buyer with mechanical/electromechanical/electronics components and systems.
• Highly adept in SAP, SAP Ariba, or equivalent ERP/procurement platforms, and comfortable working with PLM and project management tools.
• You demonstrate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management and you are innovative around problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) or proven experience in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration with a strong technical background.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English (both written and spoken, required for international stakeholder interaction).

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: € 48.000,00

Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
