Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a PRN registered nurse to provide nursing care using the nursing process and to lead a clinical team. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to deliver age-appropriate care and maintain a safe, respectful environment, while adhering to MUSC standards and governance structures.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree, RN licensure (SC Board or compact), and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and at least 1 year of RN experience.
• Current RN licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Direct and lead other team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Deliver patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and professional behavior.
• Participate in shared governance and promote professional growth and accountability.
