Job summary

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist/SLP for inpatient rehab. The role involves administering treatments per physician referrals, organizing a speech therapy program, and evaluating progress.

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, and New graduates are acceptable. SC Board Certified/Eligible, BLS, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited school.
• New graduates acceptable.
• South Carolina Board Certified / Eligible.
• BLS Required.
• Current Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatments to patients in accordance with the physician's referral.
• Organizes and conducts a speech therapy program to facilitate rehabilitation of the patient's speech and/or language deficiency.
• Evaluates, administers and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner.
• Establishes goals of speech therapy and re-assesses patient's progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation.
• This job classification is required to care for patients of all ages.
