Job summary

Mediobanca's Private Markets team in Lombardy is seeking an intern to support the Private Banking division's alternative investments.

You will conduct research on private market opportunities, assist in due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and prepare investment memoranda and client materials. You will also help with marketing content and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Operations.

Fluent in English and Italian; strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or STEM disciplines
• Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, sound analytical capabilities, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze private market investment opportunities, including direct co-investments, private market funds, evergreen vehicles and hedge funds
• Monitor the private markets landscape through market research, manager due diligence and industry analysis
• Track and monitor existing investments, maintain portfolio models, and prepare performance updates, investment memoranda and client reporting materials
• Support the evaluation, selection and ongoing due diligence of investment managers and products
• Assist in structuring and development of the Private Markets product offering
• Support distribution of private markets solutions by preparing marketing materials, presentations and educational content
• Participate in meetings and due diligence calls with investment managers and draft meeting notes and investment summaries
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support launch and ongoing management of investment solutions.

Position Description:

We are looking for an intern within the Private Markets team.

The team is part of the Private Banking division and focuses on building the offering of alternative investment products.

The successful candidate will work directly with the members of the Private Markets Team to:

• Conducting research and analysis on private market investment opportunities, including direct co-investments, private market funds, evergreen vehicles and hedge funds
• Monitoring the private markets landscape through market research, manager due diligence and industry analysis to support the continuous enhancement of the product offering
• Tracking and monitoring existing investments, maintaining proprietary portfolio models, and preparing periodic performance updates, investment memoranda and client reporting materials
• Supporting the evaluation, selection and ongoing due diligence of investment managers and products
• Assisting in the structuring and development of the Private Markets product offering
• Supporting the distribution of private markets solutions by preparing marketing materials, presentations and educational content for bankers, clients and prospective investors
• Participating in meetings and due diligence calls with investment managers and drafting meeting notes and investment summaries
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Investment Advisory, Product, Legal, Compliance and Operations to support the launch and ongoing management of investment solutions.

Requirements Description:
