Qonto, a fast-growing fintech, seeks a Principal Backend Engineer in the Foundations domain to shape core backend systems powering hundreds of thousands of customers. You will lead cross-team initiatives, mentor engineers, and translate business goals into scalable technical roadmaps, with a focus on AI-enabled infra and AI-native integrations.

You will spearhead end-to-end programs spanning multiple functions, architect high-volume systems, and communicate clearly with engineers and executives

• Experience mentoring or enabling engineering teams at scale.
• Interest in AI-enabled workflows and AI-native integrations.
• Autonomous and proactive in ambiguous environments; surfaces risks early.
