Baccarat Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the pre-opening of its first European luxury hotel in Rome and to oversee ongoing engineering operations once opened.

The role requires a leader who can build the engineering department from the ground up, recruit and mentor a team, commission building services, manage defects and contractor relationships, and implement preventative maintenance to ensure safety, efficiency and exceptional guest experiences.

Competenze

• Accomplished hotel engineering leader with luxury hospitality experience.
• Previous pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire and life safety systems.

Mansioni

• Develop departmental operating standards and preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate building commissioning, testing and readiness activities.
• Oversee snagging, defect management and warranty processes.
• Implement CMMS across the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with Italian regulations and luxury brand standards.
• Lead and manage Engineering Department day-to-day operations.
• Drive asset reliability, efficiency and sustainability improvements.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Foster safety culture and continuous improvement.
