Your Role

You will contribute to the development of a test system for three-phase inverter boards, typically used for motor control applications, by leveraging an electronic load to emulate either a three-phase resistive-inductive load or, alternatively, a motor simulator.

The internship will include:

• a preliminary study of the technical challenge and modelling/simulation activities in Matlab or equivalent tools;
• a feasibility assessment on existing hardware platforms and boards;
• the definition of the algorithms to be implemented;
• the selection of the most suitable base system for implementation;
• a hands‑on experimental validation in the laboratory.

The activity will provide exposure to power electronics, control strategies, simulation, and experimental verification in an industrial application context.

Your skills & experiences

• On going or completed Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Interest in power electronics, motor control, and test systems
• Basic knowledge of modelling and simulation tools, such as Matlab/Simulink
• Analytical mindset and problem‑solving attitude
• Ability to work in a structured way from study and simulation to experimental validation
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• English proficiency suitable for a technical environment
