The Institute for Scientific Interchange Foundation (ISI) in Turin invites applications to fill a postdoctoral fellowship early in 2015 in collective phenomena in physics and materials science.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in physics or a related field and strong background in computational methods, with expertise in statistical mechanics, fracture, dislocation dynamics, plasticity, or related areas.
Competenze

The Institute for Scientific Interchange Foundation (ISI) welcomes applications to fill one postdoctoral fellowship early in 2015 in the domain of “Collective Phenomena in Physics & Materials Science”.
The successful candidate should have a Ph. D. in physics or related fields and a strong background in computational methods with expertise in one or more of the following areas: statistical mechanics (scaling and critical phenomena), fracture, dislocation dynamics and plasticity, mechanics of disordered media, soft matter and biological systems.
The ISI Foundation offers a stimulating environment with different groups working in interdisciplinary research on complex systems. The duration of the fellowship is one year, and it is renewable for a second year.
