IIT in Genova, Italy invites a postdoctoral researcher to work in the Nanotechnology for Precision Medicine unit under Prof. Paolo Decuzzi.

The role focuses on biodegradable depots for sustained local delivery of advanced therapeutic combinations, including immunomodulatory agents and engineered cells. The fellow will collaborate across disciplines—cell engineering, biomaterials, drug delivery, and nanotechnology—and participate in in vitro and in vivo studies toward oncology and inflammatory

Competenze

• PhD in Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Biomaterials, Bioengineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing and realizing local cell depots, implantable/injectable cell delivery systems, or tissue-engineered constructs.
• Ability to organize and report research data clearly in English.

Mansioni

• Design, fabricate, and validate biodegradable local cell depots for sustained local delivery of advanced therapies.
• Develop depots to support cell viability, retention, and controlled activity in diseased tissues.
• Apply platforms to oncology and inflammatory diseases; conduct in vitro/in vivo experiments.
