Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Italy is seeking a highly skilled researcher for the CONCEPT unit to advance molecular modeling and biophysical simulations. You will join a multicultural team and contribute to novel computational methods at the intersection of biophysics and machine learning.

The role requires a PhD and strong programming, HPC, and publication track record; the successful candidate will develop sampling techniques, study protein interactions, and build scalable workflows,

Competenze

• PhD in Physics, Engineering, Computational Chemistry, Biophysics, or related field.
• Strong programming in Python, C/C++, with proven scientific software development experience.
• Experience with HPC environments and queue handling.
• Experience in algorithm development and biomolecular simulations (MD, enhanced sampling).
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Mansioni

• Design, development, and implementation of novel computational methods at the interface of computational biophysics and machine learning.
• Development of enhanced sampling techniques to accelerate molecular dynamics simulations.
• Development and application of methods for protein–protein and protein–nucleic acid interactions.
• Development of coarse-grained modeling approaches for mesoscale biomolecular systems.
