Human Technopole in Milan seeks a Research Software Engineer for Translational Biomedical AI to turn research prototypes into robust software tools. You’ll work with data scientists, clinicians, and ICT experts to make biomedical ML models usable, testable, and portable across environments.

You will refactor code, package models for deployment, and build interfaces and pipelines while emphasising reproducibility and documentation. This role supports EU4H funding and clinical translation.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in software development, research software engineering, machine learning engineering, data science, or similar roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with scientific or ML Python libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience writing maintainable, documented code and using Git.

Mansioni

• Refactor and modularise scientific Python code into maintainable software.
• Package trained models and inference pipelines for external deployment.
• Enable testing and reproducible evaluation of models across sites.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate requirements into software tools.
• Develop APIs, CLIs, dashboards, or lightweight interfaces as needed.
