Job summary

Technogym is seeking a Plastic Technologist Engineer to serve as a trusted technical reference on plastic technologies across the organization, leading standards, material selection, and process direction from concept to production. You will collaborate with R&D, Quality and Production to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in plastic technology and manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of CAD software and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with international standards and regulations for plastic components.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with sustainable materials and recycling technologies.
• Knowledge of mold design and tooling.
• Project management capabilities.
• Leadership

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the company’s technical standards for plastic materials, processes, and systems.
• Act as the primary technical reference for plastic engineering, guiding cross-functional teams in design decisions and feasibility assessments.
• Lead the design and development of plastic parts and assemblies from material selection through process validation.
• Define and optimize manufacturing processes (injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, and beyond).
• Scout and evaluate emerging technologies and translate innovations into standard updates.
• Drive testing and validation programs for plastic components.
• Champion continuous improvement across materials and processes.
• Contribute to shaping a high-performing engineering culture.
