Job summary

RINA is seeking a skilled Planner with MS Project expertise to manage planning for EPCC projects in the offshore/onshore oil & gas sector, based in Palermo, Italy.

The role requires a university degree in a technical field, strong language skills, and experience with MS Project and Primavera; responsibilities include developing schedules, monitoring progress, and coordinating with engineers and site teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical field.
• Excellent knowledge of foreign languages (English, French or Spanish) preferred.
• Must be experienced in the use of MS Project Primavera Project Planner.
• Familiar with planning and scheduling EPCC of major oil/gas plants.
• Must read and interpret contract terms, QA processes, and progress verification.

Responsibilities

• Decide on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage.
• Draw plans using specialised design software packages.
• Ensure plans meet the Customers' specifications.
• Make estimations for timescales and costs.
• Supervise the project at all stages and provide solutions to problems.
• Collaborate with site managers, surveyors, engineers, site workers and other professionals.
• Be accountable for the control and supervision, monitoring and guidance of the day-to-day activities of the Planning team.
• Supervise, deliver a resourced robust baseline project schedules (team size dependent).
• Oversee the coordination and production of all project plans and associated documents (S curves, Histograms, tabulated man-hour / progress data).
• Provide the Management Team with the relevant contract information.
• Ensure that all services and deliverables conform to Company, client and Project QA Plan, policies, requirements and standards.
• Promote good working relations within the Project Controls Teams and other project departments and Customer representatives.
• Ensure all planning work is carried out in compliance with Corporate and Project specific procedures

EDUCATION

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS and CERTIFICATIONS

• Good knowledge (spoken and written) of foreign languages (preferable English, French or Spanish) including technical dictionary will be a plus.
• Must be experienced in the use of MS Project Primavera Project Planner will be considerated as plus.
• Must be familiar with planning and scheduling of activities for all aspects of EPCC of major oil / gas plants.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret contract terms, conditions and specifications, knowledge of quality control and assurance functions, methods of progress measurements and verification.

WORK EXPERIENCE - YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

• At least more than 5 year experience in the offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or power generation industries EPC contracts in the field of pressure retaining components, piping, pipelines, valves, rotating equipment, steel structures etc.
