Job summary

RINA is seeking a skilled planner with strong experience in the energy sector to be based in Milan. Italian knowledge is mandatory, and the candidate should have extensive experience in planning and scheduling for EPCC of major oil & gas plants, including offshore/onshore projects.

The role involves drawing schedules, ensuring alignment with contract terms and QA standards, and coordinating with multiple disciplines to deliver robust baseline schedules using Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical field.
• Experience in EPCC planning and scheduling for oil/gas projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
• Italian language knowledge is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Decide on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage.
• Draw plans using specialised design software packages.
• Ensure plans meet the Customer’s specifications.
• Make estimations for timescales and costs.
• Supervise the project at all stages and provide solutions to problems.
• Collaborate with site managers, surveyors, engineers, and other professionals.
• Be accountable for the control and supervision of the Planning team.
• Oversee coordination and production of all project plans and documents.
• Ensure all planning work complies with QA plans, policies and standards.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS And CERTIFICATIONS

• Good knowledge (spoken and written) of foreign languages (preferable English, French or Spanish)
• Must be experienced in the use of Primavera Project Planner.
• Must be familiar with planning and scheduling of activities for all aspects of EPCC of major oil / gas plants.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret contract terms, conditions and specifications, knowledge of quality control and assurance functions, methods of progress measurements and verification.

Work Experience – Years Of Experience

• At least more than 10 year experience in the offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or power generation industries EPC contracts in the field of pressure retaining components, piping, pipelines, valves, rotating equipment, steel structures etc.

Work Experience – Duties And Responsibilities

The Project Planner is responsible for:

• Deciding on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage.
• Drawing plans using specialised design software packages.
• Ensuring plans meet the Customer’s specifications.
• Making estimations for timescales and costs.
• Supervising the project at all stages and providing solutions to problems.
• Collaborating with site managers, surveyors, engineers, site worker and other professionals.
• Be accountable for the control and supervision, monitoring and guidance of the day-to-day activities of the Planning team.
• Supervising, delivering a resourced robust baseline project schedules (team size dependent).
• Overseeing the coordination and production of all project plans and associated documents (S curves, Histograms, tabulated man-hour / progress data).
• Providing the Management Team with the relevant contract information.
• Ensuring that all services and deliverables conform to Company, client and Project QA Plan, policies, requirements and standards.
• Promoting good working relations within the Project Controls Teams and other project departments and Customer representatives.
