Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an Italy Payroll Lead to join our Payroll team on a 12-month fixed-term contract supporting Italy payroll processes with ADP Celergo, in a hybrid setting requiring one day in the office per week.

You will oversee monthly payroll, handle changes, respond to queries, and partner with HR and project teams on improvements, with fluency in Italian and English and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Strong experience and knowledge of Italian payroll processes and practices.
• Fluency in Italian and English, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
• Experience working with payroll providers; knowledge of ADP Celergo is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• The ability to work independently, learn quickly, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly payroll activities for Italy in partnership with ADP, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Support the internal payroll team and resolve payroll queries and escalations from employees and stakeholders.
• Manage payroll changes related to hires, terminations, absences, and employee data updates.
• Support post-payroll activities, reporting, controls, and compliance-related tasks.
• Partner with the EMEA Payroll Manager, HR, and project teams on payroll updates, process improvements, and key initiatives.
• Support year-end payroll activities, audits, and payroll-related projects.

The Job:
