Job summary

JOB PURPOSE

The Merchandising Manager is responsible for defining, implementing and overseeing merchandising planning strategies, ensuring effective integration between commercial objectives, product availability and sales performance.

The role ensures structured governance of planning processes (sales, stock, margins), product procurement and distribution, ensuring the correct time to market in terms of product mix and destination geographies.

The role is responsible for managing discount and promotional policies, guiding the planners team towards the achievement of financial targets through an analytical, data-driven and results-oriented approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define and implement the Merchandising Planning strategy, ensuring alignment between commercial objectives, product availability and sales performance.

Lead sales, stock and margin forecasting and planning processes, ensuring effective inventory management and achievement of business objectives.

Oversee product allocation and distribution, optimizing assortment availability across different markets, channels and stores.

Define and monitor pricing, markdown and promotional strategies, maximizing sell-through, stock productivity and profitability.

Analyze commercial performance and key KPIs, developing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to maximize the commercial impact of the assortment through effective product presentation.

Lead and develop the Merchandising Planning team, fostering a results, analysis- and continuous improvement-oriented culture
