PEOPLE is seeking an Outbound Department Manager for a new logistics site in Italy's Rovigo area. You will lead the Outbound Operations team, ensuring efficiency, productivity and adherence to cost targets within the Distribution Center.

Reporting to the Operation Manager, you will coordinate with Transport, Replenishment and Loading, monitor KPIs and budgets, and develop staff through training while maintaining safe, compliant operations.

Competenze

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Proven experience managing warehouse/outbound operations.
• 5–7 years leading operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of outbound processes, including picking, loading and transport coordination.
• Experience with KPI monitoring, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proficient with IT tools and WMS, and a working knowledge of English (B1/B2).

• Ensure the correct execution of picking, wrapping, consolidation, and loading activities according to operational standards.
• Collaborate closely with Transport, Replenishment, Consolidation, Wrapping, and Loading departments to optimize operational performance.
• Monitor and improve picking flows, pallet optimization, and loading efficiency to maximize space utilization and transport productivity.
• Ensure timely transport bookings and effective coordination of outbound shipments.

• Monitor operational KPIs, departmental costs, and budgets, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the correct storage and handling of products in compliance with company standards and procedures; promote effective two-way communication between management, Team Leaders, and operational staff.
• Lead, motivate, and develop Team Leaders and operational staff, supporting their professional growth through training and development activities.
• Ensure a safe, efficient, and positive work environment aligned with company values and operational excellence standards.
• Foster collaboration and best-practice sharing across functions, departments, and Distribution Centers.

For a new logistics site of an important international company operating in the Retail sector, we are looking for an Outbound Department Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and effective management of outbound operations within the Distribution Center.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Reporting directly to the Operation Manager, the candidate will lead the Outbound Operations team, ensuring the achievement of performance, quality, service, and cost targets, while maintaining compliance with company standards and operational procedures. He/she will be involved in:

SKILLS

• Degree or Diploma, preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields;
• proven experience in managing warehouse operations or Distribution Centers, with a focus on outbound logistics;
• previous experience of at least 5-7 years in leading and developing operational teams;str
• strong knowledge of outbound logistics processes, including picking, consolidation, loading, and transportation coordination;exp
• experience in KPI monitoring, performance analysis, and budget management;
• good knowledge of IT tools and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS);
• good command of the English language (B1/B2).
