Job summary

Novartis Italia seeks an OT Automation Engineer in Torre Annunziata (NA), Italy, with 5+ years delivering global automation solutions in pharma manufacturing. You will oversee IT/OT integration, middleware setup, data points definition and end-to-end interface qualification to ensure reliable data flow to enterprise systems.

You will coordinate with a team to maintain operation stability, adhere to security/compliance policies, and collaborate across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience delivering global automation solutions in pharma manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IT/OT infrastructures, architectures, applications & tools.
• Understanding of automation technologies and software platforms (SCADA, Historian, MES).
• Familiarity with industry standards/protocols for manufacturing data (OPC, MQTT).
• Strong English and Italian communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deliver and qualify IT/OT system solutions and their integration for projects.
• Manage lifecycle, budget, schedule and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver manufacturing-site technical solutions.
• Ensure designs align with architecture and support software/service operations.
• Facilitate peer reviews and obtain sign-off for detailed designs.
• Consider user experience when designing solutions and services.
• Adhere to security/compliance policies and support audits.
• Maintain stability of global IT/OT solutions.
