Job summary

Novartis is seeking an OT Automation Engineer in Torre Annunziata, Italy, to lead IT/OT integration across shop floor data flows. The role emphasizes middleware setup, data point definition, and interface qualification to ensure enterprise-level data availability.

Responsibilities include end-to-end IT/OT design, project execution, and collaboration with global sites to deliver compliant, scalable solutions. Strong English/Italian communication and manufacturing domain knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and collaboration across boundaries.
Fluent in English and Italian.
Ability to leverage digital technology and big data.
Knowledge of IT/OT infrastructures and automation tools.
Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deliver and qualify IT/OT system solutions and integrations.
Manage project lifecycle: budget, schedule and compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical manufacturing site solutions.
Ensure designs follow architecture and support operations of software/services.
Facilitate peer reviews and obtain sign-off for designs.
Consider user experience in solution design and implementation.
Adhere to Security and Compliance policies.
Support audits and maintain operations of global IT/OT solutions.
Contribute to business case development.
