Cummins Inc. in Cameri (Novara), Italy is seeking a motivated Process Quality Engineer Intern for a 6-month onsite internship. The role emphasizes process quality management, LPA deployment, and cross-functional collaboration on the shop floor.

The intern will support audits, document updates, and continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and Quality teams. Fluency in Italian and good English are required.

Competenze

Institutional background: currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Quality, or related field).
Italian language fluency (C1/C2) and good English communication to operate in a global environment.
Basic understanding of QMS ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949; knowledge of PFMEA and Control Plan is an asset.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with data analysis capabilities.

Mansioni

Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with standards and analyze data to identify improvements.
Support Layered Process Audit (LPA) deployment across the plant with checklists and tracking.
Assist in preparation for customer, certification, and internal audits and maintain process documentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and Quality teams.
Support continuous improvement projects focusing on quality performance and KPI monitoring.
