Cummins Inc. in Cameri (Novara), Italy, is seeking a motivated Process Quality Engineer Intern for a 6-month, fully on-site internship. The role targets someone based in Cameri/Novara area with engineering background and strong Italian/English communication.

You will monitor processes, support LPA deployment, assist audits, and collaborate across manufacturing teams to drive quality improvements on the shop floor.

Competenze

• Pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Quality, or related field).
• Language: Italian (C1/C2) and English communication for global environment.
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949; familiarity with problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong data analysis skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to work on the manufacturing shop floor.

Mansioni

• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established standards and analyze production data for improvement opportunities.
• Support the Layered Process Audit (LPA) deployment by developing checklists and tracking audit completion.
• Assist in preparation for customer, certification, and internal audits, ensuring process documentation is updated.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to promote process discipline.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on quality performance and KPI monitoring.
