Reschio in Italy seeks a responsible Night Manager to supervise night operations, ensuring safety, service, and seamless handover to the morning team. You will liaise with Front Office and other departments, manage guest requests, and uphold high hospitality standards.

The role requires autonomy, sound judgement, and a guest-first approach, with the position offered on a seasonal basis and a competitive salary in the €32,000–€37,000 range.

Job Overview

We are looking for a responsible, proactive and highly guest-focused Night Manager to oversee the night-time operations of Reschio Hotel. As the senior point of reference during the night, you will ensure the smooth running of the hotel, providing attentive and discreet assistance to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service and operational efficiency. Working closely with the Front Office team and liaising with all relevant departments, you will anticipate and respond to guests’ needs, manage any operational issues that may arise and ensure seamless continuity between the evening and morning teams. The role requires sound judgement, autonomy and a genuine understanding of personalised hospitality. You will be expected to embody Reschio’s philosophy and approach to service, contributing to a collaborative, respectful and harmonious working environment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate hotel operations throughout the night, acting as the main point of reference for guests and colleagues.
• Provide attentive, discreet and personalized assistance to guests, anticipating their needs whenever possible and responding promptly and professionally to any requests, concerns or complaints.
• Manage night-time Front Office activities, including guest arrivals, departures, check-ins and check-outs, in accordance with Reschio’s standards and procedures.
• Ensure effective coordination with other operational areas, including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Room Service, Maintenance and Security, whenever night-time assistance is required.
• Conduct the nightly audit of financial transactions, including room charges, payments, adjustments and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across hotel systems.
• Verify the cash registers of the relevant departments, investigate and correct discrepancies where appropriate, and promptly report any outstanding issues to the Administration team.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive nightly reports, ensuring that all necessary information is shared with Management and the appropriate departments.
• Handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively, using sound judgement and taking appropriate decisions when immediate action is required.
• Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms and other safety or security concerns, following established procedures and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure a comprehensive handover to the morning team, highlighting relevant guest matters, operational issues, incidents and any required follow-up actions.
• Maintain professional, respectful and ethical relationships with guests, colleagues, suppliers and external partners at all times.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment, consistently representing Reschio’s values, philosophy and standards of hospitality.

Skills and Competencies Required

• Previous experience in a Night Manager, Night Auditor or similar Front Office role, within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
• Ability to work independently and confidently take responsibility for hotel operations during night-time hours.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective in unexpected or challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
• Fluency in both English and Italian.
• Good knowledge of hotel management systems and standard computer applications.

Compensation & Pay Transparency

• Employment Type: Seasonal employment (CCNL Turismo – Level 2).
• Salary Range: €32,000– €37,000.

The advertised salary range reflects Reschio's assessment of the expected remuneration for this position. Individual offers within the stated range will be determined through the consistent application of objective, documented and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, specialist expertise and the level of responsibility associated with the role.
