Job summary

Expleo is seeking a Network Engineer / Network Administrator in Rome, Italy. The role is hybrid, with up to 3 days remote per week, supporting a complex, mission-critical network environment.

You will operate, administer, and improve enterprise network services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across multi-tenant environments, collaborating with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Strong Cisco Routing & Switching expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, F5 Load Balancers, and Cisco Firepower.
• Experience with AWS networking concepts (VPCs, routing, security groups).
• Knowledge of WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, DNS, and network monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support Cisco networking infrastructure (Nexus, Catalyst, routing & switching).
• Manage Cisco Meraki environments (switching, wireless, security).
• Administer Cisco Firepower and F5 BIG-IP AFM firewalls.

Overview

Network Engineer / Network Administrator – Rome, Italy (Hybrid)

Are you passionate about enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure? We're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a long-term international project supporting a complex and mission-critical network environment based in Rome, Italy.

• Hybrid model: up to 3 days remote per week

Your Mission

You will be responsible for the operation, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise network services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across a complex multi-tenant environment. You will also collaborate closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable networking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Cisco network infrastructure (Nexus, Catalyst, routing & switching)
• Manage Cisco Meraki environments (switching, wireless, and security)
• Administer Cisco Firepower and F5 BIG-IP AFM firewalls
• Support and maintain F5 Load Balancers
• Configure and troubleshoot IPSEC VPN connections
• Monitor WAN performance and resolve network incidents
• Participate in cybersecurity initiatives and vulnerability remediation
• Implement secure network architectures and operational standards
• Automate operational tasks through scripting and automation tools
• Produce technical documentation and support continuous service improvements
