NTT DATA in Milan is seeking a Senior Network & Security Technical Lead to guide the Global Network Operations team. You will own complex deployment projects, coordinate multi-country engineering efforts, and collaborate with Architects, NOC, and PMO to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered on time.

The role demands hands-on leadership, expert Cisco and Palo Alto know-how, and a track record of delivering enterprise-grade infrastructures in international settings.

Competenze

• 8+ years in Enterprise Network and Security environments, with 2+ years in a technical lead role.
• Experience leading technical teams on complex infra projects.
• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE and PCNSE are required.

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Network & Security Technical Lead to join our team and support one of our largest global customers in the Luxury industry.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, international, and highly innovative environment, supporting the deployment, and evolution of mission-critical network and security infrastructures across multiple countries.

The successful candidate will combine expert-level technical knowledge with strong leadership capabilities, acting as the technical lead for the Global Network Operations team while collaborating closely with Architects, Internal customer stakeholders, NOC department and the PMO to ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

The role requires a hands-on professional capable of leading complex deployment projects on Cisco and Palo Alto technologies, driving technical excellence, coordinating engineering activities, and contributing to the continuous evolution of a global enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Lead for the engineering team;
• Coordinate engineering assignments based on project priorities, technical expertise, workload, and resource availability;
• Collaborate daily with the PMO to define priorities, optimize resource allocation, and manage project execution;
• Monitor technical progress, identify delivery risks, and proactively implement mitigation actions;
• Act as the highest-level technical escalation point (L4) for complex networking and security issues;
• Lead technical governance meetings;
• Lead the technical delivery of complex Cisco and Palo Alto deployment and migration projects;
• Perform expert-level troubleshooting in complex multi-vendor enterprise environments;
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for major incidents;
• Ensure compliance with customer operational standards, security policies, and change management processes.

Required skills

• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Network and Security environments, including at least 2 years in a technical lead role;
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects;
• Strong expertise in Cisco Enterprise Networking (Routing & Switching, Nexus, BGP, OSPF);
• Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, GlobalProtect, IPSec VPN);
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills;
• Experience working in international enterprise environments;
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE and PCNSE are required.
