Nestlé Purina Italy is seeking an Industrial Services leader to manage and operate MEP utilities for a new manufacturing site. You will ensure reliable utilities (steam, water, HVAC, compressed air) and lead a team across design, installation and commissioning.

The role requires an Engineering degree and 5+ years in industrial services, with strong ammonia/refrigeration experience and knowledge of Italian regulations. Attractive base and 13% annual bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in at least one Industrial Services engineering discipline in a food-related environment (5+ years).
• Ammonia plants and industrial refrigeration background is required for large facilities.
• Experience operating or supervising heating systems and large combustion equipment.
• Experience in P&ID diagrams and related instrumentation knowledge.
• Experience with AHU, chillers, fire protection, water/steam systems and electrical equipment.

• Build engineering capability by ensuring competency and development plans for the Industrial Services team.
• Define and adhere to design standards for plant, equipment and infrastructure.
• Support operation and budgeting of industrial services, driving energy and water savings.

• Compensation Package: CCNL Industria Alimentare, Quadro, Gross Annual Base Salary €63.500,00 + 13% Annual Bonus.

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring competent industrial services (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing - MEP) management and operation, and to ensure optimal cost, highly efficient, quality and sustained generation and distribution of utilities for the factory operation. i.e. steam, refrigeration, water and effluent treatment, hygienic air handling, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and compressed air, as well as electricity, high voltage, medium voltage, low voltage.

A day in the life of the Industrial Services | Utilities Leader:

• Build Engineereing capability:
  Ensures that personnel managing, operating and maintaining industrial services plant and infrastructure are competent to do so. Ensures that competency assessment and competency building plans are in place, routinely reviewed and executed for the Industrial Services team.
• Define and adhere to standards:
  Plans, performs and manages design, modification and improvements to industrial services plant, equipment and infrastructure. Utilising own area of competency and specialisation or with competent 3rd parties.
• Manage new-built assets:
  Supports operation of industrial services to ensure high efficiency, quality and compliance. Assists in the budgeting and cost monitoring of industrial services. Identifies and drives energy and water saving opportunities.
• Manage new-built assets:
  Manages quality, environmental and internal and external compliance requirements for industrial services through management and monitoring processes and collaboration with the general contractor(s) and other trade contractors, suppliers, designers and consultants, and Nestlé Purina Central Engineering.
• Manage new-built assets:
  Ensures process and personnel safety with regard to industrial services plant and equipment. From design coordination and execution to installation, commissioning and hand over to routine and periodic safety inspections and audits.

What will make you successful?

• Experience in at least one Industrial Services engineering discipline, preferably in food related manufacturing environment (5+ years)
• For factories with large built-up distributed ammonia plants (Ice Cream, Frozen Food or Freeze Drying, industrial refrigeration background and ammonia experience is required
• Experience operating or supervising others who operate heating pressure systems (gas boilers) or other large combustion systems (steam, hot water)
• Experience in P&ID (piping instrumentation diagram)
• Experience in industrial plants: AHU, chillers, fire protection systems, water and steam generation, water treatment, BMS and electrical equipments.
