Job summary

Micron Technology, Vimercate, Italy, is seeking a device engineering intern to join the Process and Device Technology Development team. You will help analyze, model and improve electrical characteristics for next-generation NAND technologies under supervision.

The role targets Master’s students or recent graduates in Electronics Engineering or Engineering Physics, with strong interest in semiconductor physics, CMOS, and data-driven testing using Python or JMP. Onsite work, meal vouchers provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (pursuing or recently graduated) in Electronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and processes.
• Good understanding of simple CMOS circuits.
• Good understanding of statistics.
• Coding skills to create and run automated test flows with Python/JMP.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to device characterization and modeling for next generation NAND technologies.
• Define and execute new test flows to measure critical array electrical characteristics.
• Understand NAND cell physics and array devices operations, performance and reliability.
• Build physical models of new cells array electrical evidence with TCAD.
• Collaborate with design/process/device teams to address deficiencies.
• Generate reports and documentation of activity for engineer review.
