Institute for Regional Development in Bolzano seeks a trainee researcher with a master’s degree (or near completion) to join the team and focus on transport planning and mobility research. The internship lasts 6–10 months and involves analyzing rural transport accessibility and mobility patterns, data collection, and project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in transport-relevant disciplines, ideal travel demand focus.
• Experience with transport demand models and survey/data collection is a plus.
• Ability to work in international, multidisciplinary teams; German or Italian knowledge preferred.

Responsabilités

• Work on the Passeiertal project to estimate passing-through traffic contributions.
• Support other rural mobility projects and EU-level initiatives as needed.
