Job summary

AVL Italia S.p.A. in Cavriago, Italy, is seeking a Software & Controls Engineer to design and implement control architectures, algorithms, and embedded software for mobility systems.

You will develop requirements, architectures, and test concepts, and perform HW-in-the-loop testing. Qualifications

• Completed technical studies in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or similar.
• Professional experience and knowledge of development processes (e.g., PTE Controls and Systems Engineering Process).
• Ability to work independently and handle complex tasks.
• Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO26262.
• Experience with automotive development tools.
• Experience in quality management standards and model-based/agile development approaches.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop system requirements, architecture, and test concepts for controls, functions, and electronics.
• Develop control algorithms, electronic components, schematics, and system designs, including initial calibration datasets.
• Perform system integration, testing, and validation, including rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Develop embedded software for embedded control, including requirement engineering and software architecture.
• Integrate software into electronic hardware control units and provide commissioning and support at customer locations.
• Develop innovative algorithms for future mobility, create and update software applications, and optimize development processes and tools.
