Job summary

Currie & Brown is delivering a landmark data centre project in the Milan region and seeks a Site Quantity Surveyor to join the on-site team. The role welcomes freelance consultants and professionals seeking a fixed-term or permanent contract, with Italian and English language proficiency essential.

The ideal candidate has proven QS experience on major construction projects, with data centre exposure and strong subcontract management, cost reporting, and contractual administration skills.

Qualifications

• Proven QS experience on major construction projects.
• Data centre experience highly desirable.
• Experience with subcontract management and cost reporting.
• Italian and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial and contractual management of a major data centre construction project.
• Administer subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account.
• Review, assess and agree valuations, applications for payment and variations.
• Monitor project costs, commitments and forecast expenditure.
• Prepare cost reports and support commercial forecasting activities.
• Evaluate change requests and manage compensation events.
• Assist with contract administration and commercial correspondence.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors and client representatives on site.
• Support risk management and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to monthly reporting and project performance reviews.
