Alstom is seeking a Methods & Tools Industrial Quality Engineer in the Vado Ligure site, Italy. You will drive the process for non-conformities on purchased parts, from defect characterization to containment and closure, acting as the key interface between the site and the Supplier Quality function.

You will secure production, organize line re-feeding with conform parts, and lead containment activities with suppliers, ensuring rapid corrective actions and clear ERP reporting.

Competenze

• Experience within Quality or Production.
• Knowledge of Alstom tools (PDM, 3D viewer, SAP (GSI), Supplier Quality).
• Railway experience is a “plus”.

Mansioni

• Characterize the defect on purchased parts (5W2H) and write NCRs to limit production disturbances.
• Secure the production line ensuring no defective parts are available.
• Organize re-feeding to the line with conform parts within takt-time or stock availability.
• Coordinate containment activities and supplier actions to maintain line stability.
• Create and manage NCRs in ERP and Supplier Quality Portal as needed.
• Interface between the Site and the Supplier Quality function to communicate containment and root cause actions.

Methods & Tools Industrial Quality Engineer

The candidate will be part of Quality team.

Purpose of the job:

Drive/lead the process of non-conformities on purchased parts (coparts, suppliers, free parts, customers, sub-contractors) from the defect characterization on production area, re-feeding to the line, containment and closure of curative actionsand act as the primary interface between the Site and the Supplier Quality function.

Accountabilities & Authorities:

• Characterize the defect on purchased parts (5W2H) and write the relevant reports (NCR : Non conformity reports) with the objective to limit production disturbances.
• Secure the production line ensuring that no other defective part is available with a clear mapping (physical identification and parts in restricted area)
• Organize the re-feeding to the line with new conform parts within the takt-time of the line (if part is available in stocks)
• Organize the first level of containment with management of control and sorting activities (internal, and coordination for supplier)
• Block (or ask to block) stock for non-conform parts
• Ask for new control key in ERP for incoming inspection for upcoming deliveries and provide inspection criteria
• Create Non-conformity reports in ERP and SQP (Supplier Quality Portal)
• Notify NCr to supplier via Supplier Quality Portal tool (NCR module) for NCr with supplier or expertise liability
• Participate to daily and weekly meetings with various stakeholders
• Secure in a timely manner strong and complete supplier containment actions plan to secure the Manufacturing line
• Acts as the primary interface between the Site and the Supplier Quality function, ensuring effective communication of all relevant information required to manage containment plans, perform root cause analysis, and define supplier responsibilities.
• Support the Preparation and participate in Process reviews, internal/external audits and APSYS roadmap
• support Supplier Quality serial in the activities on Site done by supplier
• Support and participate to the SQ meeting to monitor the performances of the suppliers

Performance measurements

• Number of opened and closed non -conformities
• Re-feeding lead time (time between declaration of defect and availability of replacement part on the line)
• Status of containment (WIP and warehouse)
• Leadtime of notification to suppliers
• Leadtime of supplier Containment
• % of NCR liability change
• Number of non-conformities under expertise
• Average time spent in restricted area

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

• Experience within Quality or Production
• Knowledge of Alstom tools (PDM, 3D viewer, SAP (GSI), Supplier Quality)
• Railway experience is a “plus”
