AW LAB, part of the Bata group, seeks a Merchandiser Intern to join the Merchandising Team Europe and support inventory planning, stock rotation targets and product allocation. You will gain hands-on experience in replenishment and call-off processes during an on-site training period.

After onboarding, there is potential for Smart Working part of the week. The role supports turnover and sell-out targets while working within a dynamic, fashion-driven environment.

Competenze

• University in progress or degree in Economics/Statistics or similar fields.
• Strong knowledge of Excel through Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrates reliable planning and organizational discipline with deadlines.
• Shows strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.
• Good command of English and ability to communicate effectively.

Mansioni

• Assist in inventory planning and optimization for Europe merchandising.
• Support in-season stock management, product allocation and replenishment processes.
• Contribute to markdown campaigns and promotions in collaboration with Planning and Marketing.
• Analyze store performance with Area Managers and plan market/store visits.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

We are looking for a MERCHANDISER INTERN to join the Merchandising Team Europe and support the management of product categories, contributing to the achievement of turnover, sell-out, and stock rotation targets. The resource will gain hands‑on experience in inventory planning and optimization, supporting in‑season stock management activities through product allocation, replenishment, and call‑off processes.

KEY CHALLENGES:

• Support in the review and maximization of product flow based on the latest trends and assumptions to ensure the best assortment for stores
• Support in the appropriate quantitative distribution of merchandise based on store performance
• Collaborate with the Planning Department to suggest and set up the correct markdown campaign and promotions
• Collaborate with Area Manager in analysing store performance and planning visits to markets and stores
• Support in the management of the reverse logistic process steps for commercial returns
• Support in the management of end‑of‑season returns and the management of old merchandise to ensure its proper distribution in the outlet or stock jobber network
• Collaborate with Buying and Marketing Department to plan and implement marketing campaign

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• University in progress or Degree – preferably in Economics, Statistics or similar fields
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
• Delivers in consistent way following his department priorities, respecting the deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and interest in working with data
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Flexible and adaptable to dynamic environments
