The Medical Assistant II position at Berkshire Health Systems supports the BFS Clinical team by assisting practitioners and helping maintain smooth office flow. The role involves performing patient care tasks under supervision and floating to multiple offices as needed to meet staffing demands.

Qualified candidates will have at least one year of MA experience in a physician's office, completed MA program, CPR, CMA or RMA certification within 90 days, and strong clerical skills; readiness to

Competenze

• One year experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician's office preferred.
• Experience in handling multiple phone lines and excellent clerical/organizational skills are required.
• Experience in specimen testing preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Medical terminology required.
• CPR certification is required within 12 weeks of hire.
• CMA or RMA - Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required within 90 days.
• Experience in basic office skills is required, data entry skills preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows based PC applications is required.
• Experience in surgical scheduling, procedures, etc. is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and take direction.
• Demonstrated ability to read and follow written/verbal direction.
• Sensitive to diverse cultures and cultural differences.
• Knowledge of community services.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced, multifaceted position.
• Good telephone communication skills.
• Must be flexible to cover for vacations and earned time absences.
• Flexible hours required.
• Self-motivated and ability to be independent and flexible within a team framework.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Will be expected to travel to other office sites within Berkshire County.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
