Viking EMEA in Bressana Bottarone, Italy, is seeking a Mechatronic / Automation Engineer to join the Research and Development team. You will design, prototype, validate electromechanical equipment for fire protection foam systems, including motors, actuators, sensors, PLCs and software.

The role requires strong integration of mechanical and electrical disciplines, embedded software, and CAD design, plus PLC programming, testing and documentation to support manufacturing partners.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation or related field.
• 3+ years in mechatronic design in an R&D environment.
• Experience with motor control, sensors, and power electronics.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Experience in fire protection or foam technology is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design, prototype, validate electromechanical equipment for fire protection systems.
• Integrate electrical and mechanical subsystems and define interfaces and control logics.
• Create 3D CAD models, electrical schematics, software, PLC programs and documentation.
• Propose mechanical solutions and collaborate on electrical interfaces and performance parameters.
• Support prototype assembly, testing, and validation; analyze results and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with fire protection regulations and internal quality requirements.
