Qabird is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join its maintenance team in Milano, Italy. This role involves fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing industrial plant and machinery, as well as conducting preventative maintenance checks.

Ideal candidates should have qualifications in mechanical maintenance, be self-starters with excellent problem-solving skills, and be flexible with work hours. The position offers various benefits, including a robust holiday plan and healthcare schemes.

Competenze

• Time served qualified industrial maintenance mechanical fitter/technician.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic fault‑finding experience.
• Previous experience with rotating machinery maintenance.

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team. The role will be at our production facility in Bishopstoke and involve the following -

• Working to the site Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
• Diagnosing, fault finding and repair of medium/heavy industrial plant and machinery.
• Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections.
• Developing and implementing modifications to improve reliability and efficiency of plant and machinery.

Qualifications/Experience in the following

• Time served qualified industrial maintenance mechanical fitter/technician
• BTEC NVQ or equivalent qualification in mechanical maintenance
• Hydraulic and pneumatic fault‑finding
• Maintenance of rotating machinery
• Machining and welding experience would be advantageous

• Self‑starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.

Location details

This role is based in our offices near the Eastleigh town centre. The address is Prysmian Cables & Systems Limited, Chickenhall Lane, Eastleigh, SO50 6YU. There are good transport links to Eastleigh and the site is approximately 15 minutes walk from the railway station.
