Baker Hughes is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer- Steam Turbines to lead installation and maintenance activities onsite with customers across energy projects. You will troubleshoot issues, deliver innovative solutions, and serve as the onsite expert while continually expanding your knowledge and skills.

You will be responsible for ensuring safety, compliance, and quality, and for preparing technical documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Good working knowledge of installation and maintenance of rotating equipment (on-site).
• Experience in a mechanical role in energy or oil & gas environments (or similar).
• Strong customer-service mindset and ability to guide customers through decisions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to varied audiences.
• Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and risk.
• Self-motivated and capable of decision-making and innovating solutions.
• Fluent English and Italian (verbal and written).
• EU Passport or European Work permit holder.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, including offshore facilities.

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer- Steam Turbines, you will play a vital role onsite with our customers. Leading the installation and maintenance activities, you will work with customers to troubleshoot issues and ensure safe and compliant installations. You will be the onsite expert, continually developing your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative solutions for customers.

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labour to ensure safety, compliance and quality
• Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Steam Turbine products at customer sites
• Preparing and updating technical documentation, plans, daily and weekly briefing reports for customers and internal cross-functional teams
• Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed and completed according to company standards

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment

• Have experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar)

• Display a strong customer service-orientation mindset, experienced leading customers through tough decisions

• Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding

• Have a strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks

• Be a motivated self-starter and be able to make key decisions and innovate solutions

• Have excellent command and understanding of verbal and written English and Italian

• Hold an EU Passport or a European Work permit

• Be ready to travel significantly (up to 70%) without geographical restriction, including offshore facilities

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 35,209.92 To 68,000.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
