Job summary

Baker Hughes in Italy's Lombardy region, specifically at the Talamona plant, is seeking a Manufacturing Experienced Professional - Manuf Eng Specialist to develop, optimize, and standardize high-tech turbomachinery manufacturing processes.

You will work with cross-functional teams to improve quality, productivity, and operational performance, contribute to new products and technologies, and ensure safety and compliance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in manufacturing or production engineering in industry is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support development, optimization, and standardization of manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, cost, and cycle times.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams to implement robust manufacturing solutions.
• Contribute to introduction of new products, processes, technologies (Production cycles, CAD/CAM).
• Analyze process performance and data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation and work instructions.
• Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices across manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company requirements.

As a Manufacturing Engineering professional at Baker Hughes, you will support the development, improvement, and execution of manufacturing processes for high-tech turbomachinery components. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve productivity, quality, safety, and operational performance, contributing to the introduction of new products, processes, and technologies.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the development, optimization, and standardization of manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, cost, and cycle times.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and operational teams to ensure robust, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing solutions.
• Contribute to the introduction of new products, processes, equipments, and technologies within the manufacturing environment (Production cycles, CAD/CAM).
• Analyze process performance, production feedback, and technical data to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation, standards, work instructions, and process-related information.
• Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot issues, reduce downtime, and ensure product quality.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role ideally you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent proven experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, production engineering, machining, or technical process support within an industrial environment.
• Good technical understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and industrial operations.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems, CNC machining, automation, robotics, digital manufacturing tools, or additive manufacturing proceses is considered a plus.
• Problem-solving mindset, analytical approach, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and team-work skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and support multiple technical activities.
• Fluency in English and Italian.

For Italy

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 38,605 To 59,000.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
