Tennant Company cerca un Ingegnere Meccanico – Componenti Plastici in Italia per progettare e sviluppare parti plastiche e assemblaggi lungo tutto il ciclo di sviluppo prodotto, collaborando strettamente con produzione, certificazioni e servizio.

La posizione è a tempo indeterminato e richiede competenze in progettazione CAD 3D, conoscenza di materiali plastici e stampaggio ad iniezione, con un livello avanzato di inglese e una mentalità proattiva e orientata al team.

Competenze

  • Laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica o equivalente.
  • Esperienza in progettazione meccanica con componenti plastici (anche profili entry-level).
  • Conoscenza di strumenti CAD 3D (preferibilmente PTC Creo).
  • Familiarità con sistemi PLM (Windchill è un plus).
  • Comprensione dei materiali plastici e dei processi di produzione, soprattutto stampaggio ad iniezione.
  • Fluenza in inglese sia scritto che parlato.
  • Buone capacità analitiche e di problem solving.
  • Ottime capacità organizzative e multitasking.
  • Mentalità proattiva, strutturata e di lavoro di squadra.

Mansioni

  • Progettare e sviluppare componenti meccanici e assiemi con focus su parti in plastica.
  • Assicurare che i progetti rispettino requisiti funzionali, di produzione e di costo.
  • Creare e mantenere modelli 3D e disegni 2D con strumenti CAD.
  • Gestire BoM e dati correlati nel sistema PLM.
  • Supportare prototipazione, test e validazione.
  • Selezionare materiali plastici e definire processi di produzione (iniezione).
  • Garantire conformità a norme di certificazione e requisiti di qualità.
  • Preparare e mantenere documentazione tecnica durante lo sviluppo.
  • Collaborare con fornitori e stakeholder interni per ottimizzare design e industrializzazione.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To strengthen our R&D Department, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer – Plastic Components who will focus on the design and development of plastic parts and assemblies. In this role, you will contribute across the full product development lifecycle—from concept to production—working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Production Engineering, Product Certification, and Service. You will play a key role in ensuring that plastic components meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets, supporting both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on plastic parts
  • Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, and cost requirements
  • Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools
  • Manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and related data within the PLM system
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities
  • Select suitable plastic materials and define appropriate manufacturing processes (e.G., injection molding)
  • Ensure compliance with product certification standards and quality requirements
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the development process
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize design and industrialization
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience in mechanical design, with exposure to plastic components (entry-level profiles also considered)
  • Good knowledge of 3D CAD tools (preferably PTC Creo)
  • Familiarity with PLM systems (Windchill is a plus)
  • Understanding of plastic materials and manufacturing processes, especially injection molding
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proactive, structured, and team-oriented mindset

The offer includes direct employment with the company on a permanent contract, with a gross annual salary ranging from €34,000 to €45,000. The indicated salary range reflects the expected compensation for the role and is defined based on objective criteria related to the job, including responsibilities, scope, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, demonstrated capabilities, and internal equity.
