Job summary

Delonghi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive component and sub-assembly design through the New Product Development process, from specification to Start of Production. You will focus on CAD design, design reviews, and DFMEA to balance performance, obsolescence, and cost, contributing to global, fast-paced product development reaching millions of users.

Qualifications

• BEng / BSc qualification.
• Experience in designing mechanical components and systems.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX (3D/2D).
• Knowledge of mass production product development.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and evaluating test results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess specifications.
• Prepare feasibility studies with Industrial Design and R&D.
• Identify risks impacting development timelines.
• Create and maintain component and sub-assembly specifications.
• Execute CAD design for parts and layouts (3D/2D).
• Support R&D in prototype testing.
• Lead DFMEA documentation and technical BOM preparation.
• Collaborate with local R&D and Purchasing on costs/investments.
• Work with moulding departments to analyze processes.
• Support Engineering Build and Pre-production phases.
• Organize and participate in technical design reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation for project status and next steps in reviews and NPD meetings.
