Job summary

Intellectual Capital Resources Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for space applications, taking designs from concept through to manufacture, integration and qualification.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions for demanding space projects, creating CAD models and detailed drawings, and contributing to design reviews and qualification testing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the space industry.
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies for space or other high-reliability applications.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture.
• Experience producing detailed engineering drawings, with a good understanding of GD&T and precision tolerancing.

Job description

An opportunity to work on the design and development of mechanical systems for space applications, within a fast-paced and highly technical engineering environment.

You’ll take designs from initial concept through to manufacture, integration and qualification, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust solutions for demanding applications.

We’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the space industry
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies for space or other high-reliability applications
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture
• Experience with CAD and engineering analysis tools such as Creo, NX, SolidWorks, ANSYS or equivalent
• Experience producing detailed engineering drawings, with a good understanding of GD&T and precision tolerancing
