Job summary

TMC in Parma seeks an R&D Engineer with solid mechanical design experience to contribute to radiopharmaceutical machines and systems. You will drive the design from concept through prototype, validation, and production transfer, collaborating with electronics and software teams.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, drawings, BOMs, design of shielding, fluidic paths, and automation components, plus risk assessment, design validation/testing, FEM when needed, and GMP-compliant

Qualifications

• Solid mechanical design experience in development of machines.
• From concept to prototype, validation and transfer to production.
• Create 3D models, drawings and BOMs.
• Design radiation shielding and ALARA considerations.
• Design fluid paths with compatible materials.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams with electronics and software.
• Prepare GMP-compliant design documentation (specs, FMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Manage design changes and support production.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and assemblies from concept to detailed design.
• Produce 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Design shielding (lead, tungsten, steel) optimizing weight.
• Design fluid paths and components contacting the product.
• Develop prototypes, test plans, and validation.
• Perform tolerance analyses and structural calculations.
• Coordinate with electronics, software, and controls teams.
• Support GMP documentation and change control.
