Job summary

Valmet is seeking a hands-on service professional to commission, optimize, maintain and improve converting roll machines worldwide. You will perform mechanical checkout, startup activities, troubleshoot issues on-site and remotely, and deliver training to customers.

This field-based role requires a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, 2–3 years in a manufacturing setting, proficiency in SAP and CAD tools, and fluency in English and Italian.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a mechanical checkout technician in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical checkout, commissioning, and startup activities for converting roll machines.
• Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and remotely.
• Execute maintenance, process checks, and quality inspections to optimize performance.
• Recommend spare parts, upgrades, and improvements to customers.
• Deliver technical training at customer sites and in-house facilities.
