Albelissa Engineering in Varese, Italy seeks a detail-oriented Materials and Chemical Laboratory Specialist to support EU product compliance. The role combines lab testing, regulatory verification for RoHS/REACH, and material characterization to ensure consumer goods meet standards.

You will operate test equipment, perform failure analysis, and coordinate test reports while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain SOPs and calibration schedules.

Competenze

• Requires a degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Chemical and Materials Engineering.
• Comfortable operating test equipment including XRF, ICP-OES, UV-Vis spectroscopy and GC-MS.
• Ability to collaborate in a team, be flexible and manage priorities.
• English language knowledge is appreciated for interfacing with foreign teams.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials andChemical Laboratory Specialist to serve as the pillar of our EU productcompliance efforts in Varese (TO), Italy. In this execution-focused role, youwill ensure our consumer goods meet rigorous regulatory standards by combiningsupply chain traceability with hands-on laboratory methodologies, includingoperating test equipment, conducting failure analysis, and quantitativelyverifying adherence to REACH and RoHS regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Planand execute chemical and physical tests on metals, alloys, coatings,enamels, polymers, composite materials, components, and finished products.
  
• Performquantitative execution and verification of product regulatory compliancetesting, specifically for RoHS and REACH.
  
• Operatematerials characterization equipment to evaluate the composition andproperties of materials and conduct failure analysis on components toidentify root causes using established procedures.
  
• Analyzeproduct failure data and laboratory test results to determine the causesof problems and continuously evaluate potential material deterioration.
  
• Assistin developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) forlaboratory systems and support the routine calibration and maintenance oftesting equipment.
  
• Coordinateand update test reports in Excel and internal systems, and managefunctional relationships within the Materials Team, Procurement, andRegulatory departments.
  

Requirements

• Degreein Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Chemical and Materials Engineering.
  
• Comfortablepersonally operating test equipment, with preferential knowledge of XRF(X-ray fluorescence screening), ICP-OES (Plasma-Optical EmissionSpectrometry), UV-Vis spectroscopy, and GC-MS (Gas Chromatography MassSpectrometry).
  
• Effectivecollaboration within a team environment, coupled with flexibility,adaptability, and priority management skills.
  
• Knowledgeof the English language is appreciated for work needs and interfacing withforeign teams
